Experience the joy, elegance, and expressive movement of Khaleegy, a traditional dance style from the Arabian Gulf region. This workshop introduces dancers to signature hair work, graceful arm patterns, rhythmic steps, and cultural styling that make Khaleegy both playful and powerful.
Students who participate in this workshop will have the opportunity to perform at Alegria Dance Studio’s annual student shows on February 28th and June 6th. To be considered for performance, students must submit a video of the choreography to Maria by February 8th.
Participation in performances also requires a commitment to the choreography and the ability to attend additional rehearsals, which will be scheduled at a later date.
This class is perfect for dancers looking to expand their cultural knowledge, performance experience, and stage presence in a fun and supportive environment.
✨ Performance Eligibility Reminder ✨
To participate in performances at Alegria Dance Studio, dancers must be active students currently enrolled in classes at the studio. This ensures that everyone performing is training consistently, growing together, and representing the studio with confidence and care.
Staying active in class helps maintain technique, choreography quality, and group cohesion, allowing us to create strong, polished performances as a community.
Thank you for your commitment to your training and for helping us keep our performances supportive, safe, and successful!
✨ Choreography Use & Credit Policy ✨
We love seeing our students grow and share their dance beyond the studio! Please note that any choreography learned at Alegria Dance Studio may be performed outside of the studio only with proper credit.
When using this choreography in performances, videos, or online posts, students must credit Maria Palacio as the instructor and Alegria Dance Studio as the home studio where the choreography was taught, and tag the studio on social media whenever possible.
This choreography is for personal performance use only and may not be taught, shared, or passed on to others in any form without explicit permission.
These guidelines help honor the time, creativity, and artistry behind the work while supporting our dance community with respect and integrity. Thank you for helping us protect and celebrate the art we share together.
